Welcome to Upper Milford Township

 

  • Upper Milford Township is a community of great scenic and rural character, near the southern corner of Lehigh County, south of Emmaus.  The township is primarily a rural living environment 10 minutes from Allentown, 25 minutes from Bethlehem and 45 minutes from the edge of the expanding Philadelphia Metropolitan area.  Routes 29 and 100 provide convenient access to the Allentown/Bethlehem area and to Route 309 and 22.

***New Polling Place***

The Western District of Upper Milford Township Polling Place has changed, effective with the April 24th Primary Election, from the Upper Milford Township Building to The Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.  The Church is located across the street from the Old Zionsville Post Office.

***EMPLOYER NOTICE****

 

EARNED INCOME TAX UPDATE - Beginning with tax year 2012, Earned Income Tax will be collected by the countywide tax collector. 

The Lehigh Tax Collection Committee (TCC) has selected H.A. Berkheimer www.hab-inc.com as the collector.  Visit the Lehigh TCC website (www.lehightcc.org) to learn more about the administration and collection of the earned income tax for Lehigh County.

 

All 2011 taxes will still be filed with the Upper Milford Township Tax Office, including employer 4th Quarter 2011 returns and resident Final Individual Returns for 2011, which both have due dates in 2012.  The Upper Milford Tax Office will collect 2011 and prior years taxes until

There have been occasions where emergency services have not been able to find a home or location of an emergency situation because the homeowner or occupant did not have their address numbers posted.  Please, for your own safety and protection, make sure that your house number is clearly visible at or from the street.

Reflective Address Markers

Upper Milford

Yard Waste Facility Site

 

The Yard waste drop off site returns to normal hours of operation beginning Monday,

         January 9, 2012.         

 

Hours of operation:

 

Wednesdays:

12:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., but no later than one 1/2

hour past dusk.

Saturdays:

12:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.

 

Closed Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, & Holidays.

 

Branches and other accepted yard waste materials can be taken to the Township yard-waste drop-off site located behind  the Municipal Garage off of Church View Road

 

THE OFFICIAL YARD WASTE SITE  IS LOCATED BEHIND THE MUNICIPAL GARAGE. 

 

This is strictly for UMT resident use only; no commercial at all.

 

There is mulch available for residents to be loaded onto their vehicles with the backhoe. This service is $5 per scoop.  Mulch can be loaded at 7:00am or 2:30pm during winter months or at 6:30am or 2:00pm during spring months.  You must call to make arrangements prior to coming to have mulch loaded by township personnel.

MOVING

If you are moving CLICK HERE, it is required by Ordinance No. 18A that all people moving in, out or within the Township to complete a moving permit.  This is a no fee moving permit. This can be mailed to the Township or e-mailed to info@uppermilford.net

It is a requirement that any landlord that has a tenant complete a landlord tenant registration. Click Here, it is no fee. E-mail it to info@uppermilford.net
